Shipper, including any agent of shipper, is responsible to inform itself concerning, and for compliance with, all applicable U.S. Department of Transportation regulations and any other governmental requirements governing the shipment of hazardous materials, including, but not limited to: Identification of such materials on shipping paper, including appropriate clauses on the Bill of Lading, markings as required on packages and containers, submission of required documents and certificates, provisions of 24-hour emergency response telephone numbers all other requirements concerning emergency response information described in 49 C.F.R. Part 172 and other related requirements in parts 171-176. Shipper shall idemnify carrier for any liability, claim or cost of any kind incurred by carrier as a result of shipper's failure to comply with applicable governmental regulations or requirements concerning shipment of hazardous materials.
