RATE BASIS

AV = Ad Valorem Rates - See Rule No. 12

EA = Rates apply per each unit as specified in individual
     commodity descriptions and may apply from origin CY,
     CFS or ship's side.

LS = Rates apply on a Lumpsum basis

M  = Rates apply per cubic meter gross measure of the
     three largest demensions (length x width x height
     rounded to three places beyond decimal point) of
     cargo including packaging.

     Unless otherwise specified in individual line items,
     M rates do not apply to cargo moving in special
     equipment (container type = DF, FB, FR, GC, HH, IN,
     OT, PL, TK, TL, VR) but may apply on
     non-containerizeable
