RULE: 2.080 - EQUIPMENT SUBSTITUTION Eff: 05MAR1999

This Rule applies to Standard, Dry, Closed containers only.


Subject to carrier's operational capabilities at the time
of loading, carrier may substitute a type of equipment
other than the type booked or ordered by the shipper or
shipper's agent.  Equipment substitution is subject to the
following conditions:

1. A 40' container may be substituted for a 20' container,
   subject to maximums of 25 CBM and 18 KT, at the rate
   and charges applicable to a 20' container.

   Where cargo is loaded in excess of the above quantities,
   the applicable rate and charges for a 40' container
   will apply.

2. A 45' container may be substituted for a 40' container,
   subject to a maximum of 65 CBM and 21 KT, at the rate
   and charges applicable to a 40' container.  This
   provision for 45' containers does not apply to cargo
   destined to Indonesia.

   Where cargo is loaded in excess of the above quantities,
   the applicable rate for a 45' container will apply.

3. Where equipment is substituted under the provisions
   of this rule, Bills of Lading must be claused,
   "Equipment Substitution per Rule 2-80."
