1. Unless there is a specific commodity description which
specifies "dry bulk in containers", rates provided for
under the applicable commodity description will apply
regardless if cargo is in bulk or packaged prior to
being loaded into container.
2. Rates named on dry bulk commodities will also apply
when shipped in carrier's containers except as may
be otherwise provided in individual tariff line items.
3. Shipments will only be accepted in CY/CY service.
4. Shipments will not be subject to Heavy Lift charges.
5. Freight will be assessed on the gross weight of the
cargo loaded in the container.
6. Grain doors - temporary bulkheads
Unless otherwise provided in specific tariff items,
when carrier furnishes dry cargo containers for the
carriage of dry bulk commodities, the carrier will
not supply necessary grain doors or reimburse
suppliers or shippers for this material.
Shipper or shipper's agent may install temporary
bulkheads in standard dry containers for the purpose
of handling bulk commodities. Such installation must
have the prior approval of the carrier. Except as
otherwise specified in individual rate items, the cost
of procuring material and installation at origin and
removal and disposal at destination shall be for the
account of the cargo.
7. Containers fitted with linerbags
a. Shipper is to supply and install the inside
linerbags at his risk and expense. Linerbags
installed must meet the standards of the carrier
supplying the container. Carrier shal not provide
linerbags at less than carrier's cost.
b. Shipper is to load cargo into and consignee to
discharge cargo out from carrier's containers at
his risk and expense and away from the carrier's
terminals.
c. Consignee to remove empty linerbags after discharge
of cargo. Noncompliance will result in the
removal of linerbags by the carrier at a fee of
USD27.50 per linerbag.
