Costs associated with government required inspection Where Customs, other agencies of a national government, or cargo inspection organizations retained by a national government require that cargo be inspected prior, during or after transportation, but prior to delivery to the consignee, all costs of such inspections will be borne by the cargo. Such costs include, but are not limited to, carrier documentation fees (see Rule 23), rehandling in the CY, transportation between CFS and CY, stripping and restuffing, drayage to and from inspection sites designated by the inspecting party, etc. The minimum charge assessed by carrier for performing services required under the provisions of this section is USD100 per container.
