Work stoppages at a terminal due to labor disputes, extreme wheather conditions, or other force majeure situations preventing loading of cargo or containers onto vessel shall be excluded from the calculation of cargo free time for the period of the work stoppage. However, cargo whose free time period expired before the work stoppage continues to accrue cargo demurrage charges. Carrier is not responsible for delays in loading cargo or containers to vessel, and any cargo demuurage charges that accrue are for the account of the cargo. WEST COAST, ATLANTIC AND GULF SERVICE Cargo received at Carrier's breakbulk terminal, CFS, or CY is subject to Free Time and Wharf demurrage provisions of the appropriate port terminal tariff. In the absense of such tariff, the Free Time and charges container in the closest public port terminal tariff will apply. MLB AND IPI SERVICE Provisions for cargo Free Time and Demurrage at Origin points will be those contained in the applicable terminal tariffs of the origin inland carrier.
