Prepayment of freight and charges at locations outside the U.S., its territories and possessions, is only allowed as specified in Rule No. 7.01E. Such prepayment must be made in full for the complete original Bill of Lading quantity prior to the release of any original Bill of Lading by the carrier to the shipper, shipper's duly authorized licensed freight forwarder or agent acting on shipper's behalf. Carrier does not extend credit on prepaid at foreign location Bills of Lading. EXCEPTION: Cargo consigned to government agencies may be released prior to freight prepayment.
