CLAUSES ON BILLS OF LADING

Cargo in containers may be stowed under deck or on deck at
carrier's option.

Bills of Lading specifically claused to provide for under
deck stowage will not be issued for containerized cargo.

Where on deck stowage is required by law, Bills of Lading
will be so claused.

ON DECK STOWAGE

Commodities which are restricted to "Stowage on Deck" in
accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations (Title 46-
Shipping Parts 146-149) shall be accorded the rates for
dangerous cargo per tariff item unless specifically listed
in this tariff at other rates.  When dangerous goods are
delivered to the Carrier, the dock receipt or other
documents acknowledging receipt by the Carrier must contain
the following:

   "This is to certify that the abovenamed articles are
   properly classified, described, packaged, and marked,
   and are in proper condition for transportation,
   according to the applicable regulations of the
   Department of Transportation and IMCO.

Carrier will hold Shippers solely responsible for any
penalties and/or damages resulting from failure to comply
with the foregoing certification.

Bills of Lading for cargo on deck are to be claused:

   "On deck at Shipper's risk".
