U.S. Import Administrative Fee: Any additional services provided by the carrier or any third-party with respect to the inspection, cleaning, disinfection or fumigation of goods pursuant to any requirement, recommendation or request of the U.S. Customs Service, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, or any other governmental entity, as well as any unpacking and repacking of goods in connection therewith, shall be for the account of the cargo. Any expenses associated with the transfer of cargo between the terminal and facilities where such services are performed shall also be for the account of the cargo. Where carrier provides or arranges for such services, it shall be entitled to an administrative fee of U.S.$25 per cargo unit, which fee shall also be for account of the cargo. With carrier consent, the customer may independently select and arrange for such services, including direct billing and payment. The activities described in this rule shall in no way increase the liability of the carrier for the condition, quality or warranty of the cargo under its bill of lading or otherwise. U.S. Export Administrative Fee: All cargo must be tendered to carrier for shipment in a clean condition that meets the standards of any US or freign government body that may regulate the movement of goods. Carrier shall be authorized to determine whether cargo is sufficiently clean to meet such standards and may refuse any shipments that, in the judgment of carrier, do not meet such standards. All expenses for cargo inspection in the U.S. or Foreign Countries, as well as for any cleaning or disinfecting carried out pursuant to any requirement, recommendation or request of the authorities in any of those countries, shall be for the account of the cargo. Any expenses associated with the unpacking, repacking and/or transfer of cargo between the terminal and facilities where such services are performed shall also be for the account of the cargo. Where carrier provides or arranges for such services, it shall be entitled to an administrative fee of U.S.$25 per cargo unit, which fee shall also be for account of the cargo.
